LiveEquipd Pitched at 1871’s Latinx Incubator Showcase

In December, LiveEquipd joined 8 other Chicago startups for the annual Latinx Incubator Showcase. As part of 1871’s Demo Days, the showcase was came at the conclusion of the Latin X Incubator program, 12-week program which recruits entrepreneurs of Hispanic backgrounds and helps them craft their business ideas into sustainable startups. The program also aims to expose Latinx founders to venture capital opportunities.
Latinx Incubator is a partnership between the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and 1871, a Chicago-based digital startup incubator.
As a part of the LatinX Incubator program, LiveEquipd founder, Andre Johnson, participated in 1871’s rigorous PYROS core curriculum that features four different tracks tailored to meet each company’s needs: Explore, Build, Launch, and Grow. He also received constant feedback and networking with Latinx peers, one-on-one coaching with the Latinx Incubator Entrepreneur-in-Residence, and curated sessions and resources dedicated to the unique experience of being a Latinx tech startup founder.
LiveEquipd was one of nine participants in the 2019 LatinX Incubator program. The entrepreneurs introduced ideas from a range of industries, including healthcare, finance and hospitality.
